Check out Heartland Intergroup near Edgewood and New Jersey at 1643 Williamsburg Square, Lakeland, FL It's the first yellow door on the red brick building. Just walk in, and take a right to suite 103. They have books, chips, fancy medallions, trinkets, magnets, stickers, even a little jewelry, and free smiles. It's staffed by volunteers who are always happy to chat and answer questions. The phone number is 863-688-0211
Shop on line on the site, too. The Intergroup web site has a meeting schedule and nearly every "announcement for the good of AA" that we hear in local meetings is posted on the events page. They are kept busy with all of Polk County, Hardee County, and Highlands County.Of course, this site is unofficial so the Intergroup volunteers may not be able to answer questions about what's happening in Lakeland This Friday night other than the regular meetings. If you have questions, concerns, or comments, about what we're doing after the last Friday night meeting, ask the person who sent you the personal invitation.
Oh! Here's another handy link to Listen to the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous here now for FREE! It's not a replacement for reading the actual book, making notes, talking about things with a sponsor and others, but when we can't read it, we can still listen. We're all in this together!
